Separated from her family as a child, Winnie Zahn is raised by Alex Burke, the chairman of Ascend Corp, until her biological family finds her at 18. When danger strikes, they save their adopted daughter and leave Winnie behind. Rescued by Alex's men after his death, she becomes Ascend Corp's CEO.
