On Rey Quinn’s birthday, Nora Gray drives with her daughter, Penny Quinn, towards the venue of celebration, yet unfortunately gets into a car accident with Mary Cole, who is also headed to celebrate Rey’s birthday. Nora and Penny suffer severe injuries and are on the verge of death when Rey, a doctor, arrives at the scene.
