When the World Burns, So Does Love

In a zombie apocalypse, where survivors develop superpowers, Jean Leston sacrifices her Power Core to save her boyfriend, Mason Jones, who was severely injured protecting another survivor, Shannon White. Mason appears to lose all memory of Jean and grows close to Shannon instead. Despite suffering unjust treatment, Jean remains by Mason's side—until she discovers his amnesia was a fabricated scheme to be with Shannon. Betrayed, Jean finally turns and walks away.
